Who We Are
Houchins Block & Brick Co. was established in 1945 in a tar-paper shack by a wooden-toy maker, Cary R. Houchins, and his son, Cary D. Houchins. While the region was just beginning to grow, they recognized the need for reliable building materials. Within a year, the company was producing more than 800 eight-inch block daily.
Today, HBB produces more than 1,350 blocks per hour, meeting or exceeding ASTM specifications, HBB provides brick from more than 12 trusted companies and HBB manufactures more than 100 standard and architectural varieties of block.
