The history of Acme-Hardestry Co., Inc. with regard to its construction products division began in 1979. Its roots can be traced back to Jacob Stern & Sons, Inc. has distinguished itself as a leading exporter of agricultural by-products. The technology involved in the processing of these materials has found application in the development of many Acme-Hardesty admixtures for the concrete industry. From a product line that consisted of only one stearate based integral water repellent, a plasticizer and a form oil, the list has been expanded to include 13 quality admixtures. These products are used in the masonry, pipe, paver and precast industries. The sucess enjoyed here is a direct result of the help from block producers, testing laboratories and equipment manufacturers. Acme-Hardesty is involved in concrete masonry through membership in NCMA and various state orginizations. We offer products for the low/no slump concrete industry to include efflorescence control, water repellents, plasticizers, accelerators and plant chemicals.
